Ekrem Tezel and Burçin Korkmaz Gain Victory

Ekren Tezel and Burçin Korkmaz who competed as a team in 2010 Turkish Rally Championship under the sponsorship of Tunç Lift that is a leading company in the forklift sector, Ankara Çelik that is a leading trademark in fire extinguishing equipment and Sander Group gained the victory in VIAPORT Istanbul Rally held this weekend.


They ranked first in N2 Class in which they raced with Fiat Palio and got the show on the road at last. The team, which unfortunately had to leave the race in Ege and Kocaeli rallies, showed their real performance at home, in Istanbul and finished the race as the N2 leader.

Ekrem Tezel and Burçin Korkmaz achieved a great success in their class completing the race 4 minutes before their closest rival and raised their morale for the next races.


Ekrem Tezel said “This was a result we had been aiming for a long time and we achieved our goal” while Burçin Korkmaz stated: “Our goal was to come in first as in all races we participate in, and we got a deserved victory”.

The next race of Ekrem Tezel and Burçin Korkmaz is 2010 Bosphorus Rally that is also a part of the European Rally Championship. The race will be organized from 23 to 25 July in Istanbul.
